Yes — BeatBuddy is 100% free. All features including high-quality streaming, queue management, audio effects and radio stations are available at no cost. There are no hidden paywalls or premium tiers.

BeatBuddy requires: Connect and Speak in voice channels, Send Messages and Embed Links in text channels. Without these, the bot cannot join or play music. Make sure BeatBuddy's role has these permissions in your server settings.

Use the /set-language command and select your preferred language from the dropdown. The change applies to the whole server instantly — every response from BeatBuddy will be in the chosen language.

Join a voice channel, then type /play followed by a song name or URL in any text channel. BeatBuddy will join your voice channel and start playing immediately. Supports YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud and direct links.

BeatBuddy supports YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, and direct stream URLs (great for radio stations). You can paste links or just type the song name and BeatBuddy will find it automatically.

Yes! Paste a YouTube or Spotify playlist URL into /play and BeatBuddy will add all songs to the queue at once. You can then use /shuffle to randomize the order or /queue to see all tracks.

Go to our Radio page, click "Copy Link" on any station, then paste the link into /play in Discord. BeatBuddy will stream it live 24/7 in your voice channel. Use /autoplay to keep the stream going non-stop.

Use /voteskip to start a vote. Members in the voice channel can vote and if the majority agrees, the song is skipped. Use /skip for an instant skip (if you have the appropriate permissions on your server).

Type /8d while a song is playing to toggle the 8D audio effect. It creates a spatial, rotating sound effect — best experienced with headphones. Run /8d again to turn it off.

Use /repeat to cycle through repeat modes: off → song → queue. In song mode, the current track repeats forever. In queue mode, the entire playlist loops. The current mode is shown in the now playing embed.

Make sure BeatBuddy has the Connect and Speak permissions in that specific voice channel. Also ensure you are already in a voice channel before running /play. If the problem persists, try kicking and re-inviting the bot.

Lag is usually caused by your voice channel's region. Try changing it in Voice Channel Settings → Region Override to a server closer to your location. Also check our bot status indicator at the top of the page — if it shows Offline, we may be experiencing issues.

First check that BeatBuddy has Send Messages and Embed Links permissions in that channel. If slash commands don't appear, try re-inviting the bot or waiting a few minutes for Discord to sync commands. Still broken? Join our support server.

Check the live status indicator in the navigation bar. If it shows Bot Offline, we are aware and working on a fix. You can also join our support server for real-time updates. BeatBuddy typically has 99.9% uptime.
